Getting Back to the Office

Updated August 2021: Kimberly Keiser & Associates continues to maintain a focus on the safety and wellbeing of our staff and clients throughout the pandemic. Please review our updated information as we continue to monitor the public health risk.

In preparation for the return of our team and clients to the office, we gathered employee feedback to get a pulse on employee sentiment and preferences, as well as to learn from our therapists what their clients’ preferences appear to be.

In general, there are pros and cons of both tele-health and in-person and different people have different preferences. We have found that one silver lining of the pandemic has been the availability of tele-health on a level never seen before in mental healthcare, which provides new opportunities and mediums in which to deliver care.

We will be starting a hybrid back-to-office plan to reduce physical headcounts and minimize the need for office re-design. We have been focused on science-based evidence and will continue to follow CDC guidelines. As the pandemic continues to move in the right direction, we will have full in office services available.

Here is more  detailed information on our back-to-office plan.

Transition Plan

Limited in-person sessions are now available at Kimberly Keiser & Associates.

  • Our therapists will continue to work remotely, using tele-health under their discretion.

  • Your therapist will work with you to determine when it is appropriate to attend an in-person session.

  • Updates on the impact of COVID-19 on health and safety, as well as insurance coverage for tele-health sessions, will be considered as the transition to in-person sessions continues.

  • We will have updates available in our monthly newsletters and on our website.

How In-Person Sessions Work

Clients Entering the Office

  • If you are a client, please wait in your car until your therapist calls or texts you to enter the building to begin your session.

  • Face masks are required when you enter the building. If you do not have a face mask on when you enter, one will be provided for you.

  • Your temperature will be checked upon entering the building.

  • Please apply contactless hand sanitizer before entering the waiting room, and then go straight to your therapist’s office.

  • Any administrative questions should be addressed with a member of our administrative team via phone or email. Clients are not allowed to talk with administrative staff inside the office.

  • The beverage station will not be in service until further notice.

During Client Sessions

  • Clients and therapists will maintain a 6-foot distance throughout the session.

  • If both you and your therapist have received the COVID-19 vaccine, please show your therapist your vaccine card or email in advance of your session.

  • Expressing emotion is a healthy part of being in therapy. However, to best protect others in the office, if you are emotional during your session:

    • Please keep your face mask on until you need to use a tissue.

    • You will be provided with a tissue.

    • Please use the tissue and then place it directly into the wastebasket.

    • After you place your tissue in the wastebasket, re-apply contactless hand sanitizer that will be provided by your therapist. Avoid touching surfaces until you have applied hand sanitizer.

    • Reposition your face mask.

Using the Restroom

  • Please use the restroom outside of our office before or after your session.

  • Please wash your hands with the contactless soap dispenser after you use the restroom.

  • Please re-apply contactless hand sanitizer after you have used the restroom.

Ongoing Sanitizing Process

  • Professional medical grade air purifiers are installed in each office to ensure clean air filtration.

  • Each office will be wiped down after each client session with medical-grade wipes.

  • All door handles and surfaces will be wiped down with medical grade wipes each hour that clients are in the office.

  • Therapists will remove garbage between client sessions and replace with a clean garbage bag.
